Artificial intelligence law (AI Act)
Determining your role under the Artificial Intelligence Act
The Artificial Intelligence Act (AI Act) sets obligations of different scope depending on an organisation’s role: provider (develops the system or places it on the market), deployer (uses the system in a professional activity), importer or distributor. I analyse the organisation’s actual activity and determine the applicable role or combination of roles, since one company can at the same time be the deployer of someone else’s system and the provider of its own solution with an embedded AI component.
